About the Role:
CFA General Contractor is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Cost Estimation and Budgeting Specialist to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the financial viability and success of our innovative architectural and construction projects. You’ll be instrumental in developing accurate cost models, forecasting project expenses, and providing the fiscal insights necessary to make strategic decisions.
Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed cost estimates for projects from preliminary concepts through final construction documents.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to gather and analyze project specifications and requirements.
- Implement best practices in budgeting and financial planning to enhance profitability and cost-efficiency.
- Monitor project expenditures, identify variances between estimated and actual costs, and recommend solutions to align with budgetary objectives.
- Prepare financial reports and forecasts for internal teams and stakeholders, ensuring transparency and informed decision-making.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in cost estimation and budget management within the construction or architectural industry.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Primus, Excel, and cost-estimating software.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to present cost analyses clearly and effectively.
- Adept at working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple projects simultaneously with precision and attention to detail.
- Eagerness and ability to learn new programs as required, adapting to evolving project demands.
